Why Your Small Business Needs Social Media

Social media can be intimidating to a small business. With so many social networks available, setting up social profiles can be a bit overwhelming for someone with limited time and budget. Many times, small businesses are eager to establish an online presence. They hastily set up profiles on every social network, but that might not be the best option for their brand.

Small businesses need to be where their target market is online. What if the company’s target market is the 30-45 year-old soccer mom demographic? Establishing profiles on Facebook and Pinterest should take top priority in the social media strategy.

Once small businesses realize where they need to be, what can they do to increase their reach? An important thing to remember is to always be authentic. To achieve this, business owners need to know how each social network works. Is the right lingo being used? Is the right content being promoted? If you ever wanted the answer to these questions, check out the following infographic. Consider it a cheat sheet for social media. Are you capitalizing on the social networks you’re using?
